His hand hurts...
...and it's really swollen and he has to keep it elevated. Therefore, I am doing the blog tonight (so sorry to disappoint those of you who have tuned in to hear his words of wisdom). Actually there isn't much more to report other than what I wrote last night. He was tired and sore this morning but he did go to his outpatient therapy. I continue to believe that he is handling this entire situation with more grace and determination than I could muster. I'm thinking if I had surgery I would have at least taken today off. What a fighter!
That's about all from our camp. Jeremy did say to tell you that 15 comments were simply not acceptable after the 27 that he received the first week-he just loves attention doesn't he? Thanks again for all you are doing to support him. I'm sure that he'll be back next week (as well as checking for comments daily)-be sure to tune in for the next installment. ;)

Thaqnks for coming off the bench as a pinch hitter. Since Jeremy appears to be keeping score let's all pitch in and show the boy that he's not the only star on the team. Glad to hear that he is not sluffing off on his responibilities to keep up the therapy. We will keep up our part with the prayers etc.

Jeremy,
You are doing great. I think we can all agree with Sarah. I know that I would not have handled any of this with the determination, class, and courage that you have. Here is a little doctor joke that made me laugh. Hope you have a great week.
A man goes to the doctor and says:
"It hurts when I press here" (pressing his side)
"And when I press here" (pressing the other side)
"And here" (his leg)
"And here, here and here" (his other leg, and both arms)
So the doctor examined him all over and finally discovered what was wrong... "You've got a broken finger!"

What a trooper you are, going to therapy even with your swollen and sore hand. Really, the way you've handled this entire thing is inspirational, and will continue to give me perspective when dealing with difficulties in my life.

Jeremy ... is there somewhere on your blog that tells the history of your journey? It would be great to have something that takes us back to how this all began ... particularly when I want to share it with someone else who has just begun their own grueling recovery and is struggling to find hope in the midst of the pain of recovery. I am an IPS teacher who works in the special education department (I have worked with your dad for years) and I understand how much of a life change this is for your family. My husband is losing his vision and we are on a life changing journey as well. These journeys strengthen us. We are just spirits in a material world, after all. I will continue to pray for you and yours.

May Beth-don't know if you'll check this or not-but if you scroll down on the main page of the blog there is a spot on the left labeled Archives (under the pictures). We started the blog on November 6th which was actually a couple of weeks after the accident-but there is certainly more than enough drama. You can read all the way up to the current posts.
